Mia Bailey, RD, Hilltop Behavioral Health, NJ

Area of Specialization

Mia is a Registered Dietitian specializing in eating disorder nutrition counseling and body image support for individuals in outpatient and clinical settings. With extensive experience working alongside people navigating disordered eating, restrictive eating patterns, and diet culture recovery, Mia brings a relaxed, collaborative, and direct approach to every client relationship.

Her work is grounded in a Health at Every Size (HAES) framework, offering weight-inclusive, compassionate, and evidence-based nutrition care. Mia believes that a person’s relationship with food and their body is shaped by social, cultural, and environmental factors, and she integrates that understanding into individualized nutrition counseling that supports both physical and psychological well-being.

Mia holds a Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics and Food Science from the University of Vermont and a Master’s degree in Nutrition and Health Promotion with a concentration in Sports Nutrition from Simmons University. This foundation supports her ability to provide specialized eating disorder nutrition therapy rooted in both clinical expertise and lived understanding.

She is particularly passionate about helping clients unlearn harmful diet culture messaging, strengthen body image, and reconnect with internal hunger and fullness cues through a process-driven, sustainable approach to recovery.

Mia’s goal is to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel empowered to heal their relationship with food and build meaningful, lasting change that aligns with their values and lived experiences.
