One of the most important aspects of being a guy who works in the mental health field is to understand how so many men struggle within daily societal pressures.
I had the honor of joining Jennifer Kreatsoulas, PhD on her local cable show to speak about males and mental health. There are so many topics we discuss in just 27 minutes! From masculinity norms and the drive for muscularity to adolescence and parenting. Of course, since we are eating disorders specialists we also spoke about eating dysfunction, signs to look out for as a parent, how this effects our young adults and the influence technology may have on our ability to feel balanced.
We covered a lot.
Don’t forget, we have an ALL MALE GROUP for anyone who struggles with current issues surrounding food, body, and a feeling as though they aren’t able to achieve the social pressures of success, power and control.
Let’s put it this way
You don’t have to be a guy who announces to the world that you have a problem. You can be the guy that understand that you’ll be great and can handle everything that comes your way.
