Lindsay James, LCSW, is a dedicated licensed clinical social worker with a commitment to the healing journey of individuals grappling with a wide range of difficulties, including eating disorders, trauma, depression, anxiety, and more. Her passion lies in guiding and empowering her clients to forge lives that are truly worth living and transcending the challenges they face.  Lindsay brings a wealth of experience having worked in inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and outpatient care, for eating disorders and trauma. 

Lindsay earned her BA in Psychology from American University and a Masters in Social Work from Widener University. She holds a certificate in Trauma Practice from Widener University and has received training in CPT (cognitive processing therapy) for PTSD treatment.  Lindsay has seamlessly translated her academic achievements into supporting her clients to make meaningful change in their lives. Her training began in an inpatient psychiatric hospital and outpatient clinic for survivors of sexual assault.  After obtaining her degree, Lindsay went on to work at a residential eating disorder facility in Arizona then a PHP,IOP, and outpatient eating disorder clinic in Kentucky.

With a warm, caring, and honest approach, Lindsay embraces each person’s unique strengths and introduces new skills to empower them on their journey.  She believes that the client is the expert on their own life, fostering a collaborative and empowering therapeutic relationship. If you’re navigating emotional pain or trauma, Lindsay James is not just a practitioner but a supportive guide dedicated to your recovery and self-discovery.

Lindsay is licensed in New Jersey, Delaware, Kentucky and Indiana.  Now that she is at Hilltop she will begin pursuing her Eating Disorder Specialist certification through the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals.
