Individual Therapy titleright

individual-therapy

Individual therapy helps you work through difficult situations while maintaining your dignity and sense of self. Throughout the experience we look at whats going on, your thoughts and your feelings. We carefully open the door to some of the most important parts of what you are going through.  You can begin to see change and live the life you’re trying to achieve.

You can find change and feel good!

Our approach to therapy helps foster a sense of calm. We move at a pace that’s comfortable for you as we decide together to find understanding and support. You get to choose and we can help you make the decision. What once was too difficult can be more accessible. You never have to change who you are. Individual therapy can be a very enlightening experience.

What can I expect?

Respect and informed care. We guide therapy sessions in a way that feels right for you. We communicate with clarity, offering insights as you search for meaning. In these moments, your reflections can make more sense and everything comes together. Our role is also to help you work through the experience less cautiously. Our views and expertise make sure that self empowerment is part of the process. We can discuss how this happens. No matter what you may be feeling, our belief is that you can gain strength and figure out difficult situations. Even if just talking is all you need.

Does therapy work?

If you allow the experience to unfold it will. You can learn to solve problems effectively and handle situations without feeling as though you are failing in the moment. You can feel normal again.

Specialty Areas

Eating Disorders

We specialize in treating individuals who have a poor relationship with food. They often struggle to maintain consistent eating, relationships, and possibly a medically appropriate weight. Some people u[se unhealthy methods to avoid weight gain. There are multiple approaches to treating eating disorders, including psychotherapy, cognitive therapy, thought and emotion identification, thought diffusion, exposure therapy, effective behavioral skills, family-based treatment (FBT), mindfulness-based approaches and more. This can be done in individual therapy. If you are ready to reduce stress surrounding food and body, we can help.

Anxiety and Depression

We work with people who feel as though nothing works. When thoughts feel too intense or you feel incapable of slowing them down, everything feels scary. We have a proven track record and are trusted by our colleagues to help lessen the intensity of panic attacks, debilitating self-loathing, feelings of isolation, and negative relationships. If you’re struggling with anxiety or depression, there is hope. Individual therapy can provide you with the skills to find a sense of calm and freedom. You don’t have to live like this and your goals don’t have to be squashed. You deserve better.
