Ayelet Schwartz, LSW

Masters in Nutrition and Therapy, Ayelet has a way to build confidence for those with not only a religious adherence but also for hose struggling with eating disorders such as anorexia, bulimia, binge eating, ARFID, and other specified eating struggles in the state of NJ near Summit.

Area of Specialization

Ayelet’s approach to therapy encompasses compassion, understanding, and respect. She prioritizes making therapy a safe space, and honors each individual’s unique experiences in a down-to-earth therapeutic environment. She incorporates various modalities of therapy to ultimately enhance how we think and feel, as she believes it will profoundly transform a person’s quality of life. She believes that if we train our minds to think positively, we will feel, believe, and actualize a happier life with more meaningful interpersonal relationships. Ayelet’s style incorporates empathy, warmth, authenticity, interactive feedback, and sincere conversations. 

With a double Master’s degree, Ayelet has earned her Degree in Social Work from Wurzweiler School of Social Work, and her 2nd Master’s in Nutrition from Adelphi University.  She has also obtained a certificate in Trauma Informed Practice from Wurzweiler’s accredited program and is a member of the Phi Alpha Honor Society. She has experience working in the field of Nutrition, as well in the field of mental health working at an all-girls high school. She appreciates the differing needs of people of all stages of life, and  tries to utilize each person’s individual strengths. No matter the circumstance, Ayelet will help promote positive change and compassionately focus on altering behavioral circles that are not working, and reaching each person’s therapeutic goals.
